Did you ever think you'd live in a world where Quicksilver was in such hot demand that he'd be appearing in two movies from two different studios? In May, Joss Whedon revealed that Quicksilver and his twin sister Scarlet Witch will in The Avengers 2, while director Bryan Singer announced he had cast Evan Peters as the speedster in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

As comic fans know, the siblings have a long history with both franchises as members of Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and also the Avengers. Plus, y'know, they're Magneto's children. According to reports later that month, Marvel Studios and Fox have very specific rules about who can say what in which films. Basically, Singer can't have Quicksilver refer to the Avengers while Whedon won't be able to refer to Magneto, mutants or anything with an X.

Crave Online caught up with Whedon at the 2013 Saturn Awards and asked him about the new additions to his blockbuster ensemble. "[They're] a huge part of [Marvel's The Avengers 2]," Whedon said. "I'm really excited about it. I don't know what they're doing and I'm determinedly not knowing. They'll do their thing. I have to do mine."

Whedon also addressed his feelings about his abandoned Wonder Woman project at Warner Bros. in the wake of The Avengers' success. "It's like grief," he said. "There's a period of anger where you're like, 'Hey! Remember all those times where I told you it would have worked? They believed me and it did! So now I'm going to get angry about stuff that I had pretty much dealt with.' You do kind of want to have a slap-line of everybody you had previously worked for. But I'm luckier than most people, so you get over that."

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on May 23, 2014, with The Avengers 2 scheduled for May 1, 2015.
