In the wake of its 90-day free trial finishing, Quibi has lost a significant number of users.

According to Sensor Tower, Quibi has kept just under 10% of its initial subscribers, around 910,000 of whom signed up within its first days of existence. Once the 90-day free trial was done, though, approximately 72,000 of those users remained.

Sensor Tower's report also indicates that only 4.5 million have downloaded Quibi in total. However, in a statement to The Verge, a spokesperson from Quibi said, "the number of paid subscribers is incorrect by an order of magnitude. To date, over 5.6 million people have downloaded the Quibi app. Our conversion from download to trial is above mobile app benchmarks, and we are seeing excellent conversion to paid subscribers — both among our 90-day free trial sign-ups from April, as well as our 14-day free trial sign-ups from May and June."

This sharp dropoff in users is one of the numerous problems Quibi has faced since its April launch. Early download figures for the app were sluggish, while recent figures have shown the service will have just 2 million subscribers during its first year of business -- a significant disparity from Quibi's original projection of 7.4 million first-year subscribers.

Quibi is available to download on all major mobile devices.
