Fans of the MCU have seen the Guardians of the Galaxy in four movies so far, with their two team movies and their appearances in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Through the films, the team developed a strong relationship, lost one of their close allies in Yondu, and then Endgame changed everything when Gamora came back from another timeline.

Now, with James Gunn working on Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3, it is time to see how they wrap up this trilogy, as it will officially end with the third movie. With one last story to tell, here is a look at 10 questions from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise we still don't have answers to.

10 WHO CREATED ROCKET?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Groot Rocket Raccoon

Who created Rocket Raccoon? When Rocket showed up in the first movie, Nova Corps member Gartgan Saal explained that Rocket was genetically engineered. Rocket looks like a raccoon. However, he is far from it and spent much of his early years tortured and tormented until he finally became the rogue outlaw he became.

In the comics, Rocket was created to be a security guard in an insane asylum on Halfworld. James Gunn claims that the answer to who created Rocket was hidden in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, but it is unclear what that was. Rocket is tormented and hates himself, and it would be nice to see him get some vengeance on those who created him.

9 WHAT HAPPENED TO QUILL'S FAMILY?

One of the saddest moments in the entire MCU came when a young child named Peter Quill stood by the side of his mother as she died of cancer. He wouldn't take her hand and then she died, leaving him with a ton of pent up grief and regret. He then ran out of the hospital and was kidnapped by Ravagers.

While Quill got revenge for his mother's death against Ego, who was responsible for her cancer, there is one question remaining. His family that was there by his side as his mother died have no idea what happened to him. What happened to his relatives and did they ever stop looking for the missing child?

8 WHAT IS THE STATE OF THE NOVA CORPS?

In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos was collecting Infinity Stones and destroyed the entire Knowhere to get one, killing The Collector in the meantime. He slaughtered several Asgardians to get another. He also happened to have the Infinity Stone the Nova Corps was protecting.

Remember, when Professor Hulk snapped, he was able to bring everyone back who was snapped away by Thanos. He did not bring anyone back who Thanos killed. Thanos clearly destroyed the Nova Corps when he attacked Xandar. What remains of this elite police force?

7 GAMORA AND QUILL

Star-Lord holds Gamora from behind

Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 has a few storylines already set up thanks to Avengers: Endgame. First of all, the Gamora that left with the Guardians at the end of the movie is not the same Gamora that showed up with them in Guardians of the Galaxy: Infinity War.

Remember, the Gamora who called Peter Quill her captain and fell in love with is dead. When Professor Hulk snapped back the fallen, that did not include those who died in other ways. These deaths include Gamora, who died to ensure Thanos received the Soul Stone. This new character is a Gamora from another timeline and never fell in love with Peter Quill. Will they have a happily ever after?

6 GAMORA AND NEBULA

Gamora choking Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy

Speaking of happily ever after, when Guardians of the Galaxy began, Nebula was a deadly assassin for Ronin and Gamora was on her way to becoming a hero with the Guardians of the Galaxy. By the time that Avengers: Endgame began, Gamora was dead, and Nebula was now a hero.

With Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 coming soon, Nebula became a hero, but Gamora has not had the character arc needed to deliver her to a full-fledged superhero. She was an assassin when she showed up in Endgame and just because she turned on Thanos, it does not make her good. What will the dynamic be between the sisters after the turns in their last appearance?

5 WHAT WILL THOR DO WITH THEM?

Thor Meets the Guardians of the Galaxy

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor left Earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy. He left Valkyrie on Earth to become the new King of Asgard. The rumor for Thor: Love and Thunder is that Jane Foster will take up Mjolnir and become the new Lady Thor.

Where does that leave Thor? That movie comes out before Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 and James Gunn said that Thor is not in his film. So, what happened with Thor and his new teammates? Which movie will take first in the MCU timeline, as Marvel has started jumping around time recently?

4 THE RAVAGERS TEAM

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Ravagers

Possibly the coolest post-credit scene in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies came in the second one. Sylvester Stallone's Stakar Ogord put together his team of Ravagers in honor of the fallen Yondu. These weren't just nameless people either. They included Ving Rhames (Charlie-27), Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh), Michael Rosenbaum (Martinex), and Miley Cyrus (Mainframe).

That is a star-studded cast ready for their own MCU movie. Nothing has happened since their appearance and reformation of their Ravagers unit. Where are they now and what are these antiheroes doing now?

3 ADAM WARLOCK

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Adam Warlock

Speaking of post-credit scenes from the movies, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 had minor villains that hated the Guardians in the gold-skinned Sovereign. These villains were lame as they wouldn't even fight their own fights. They preferred to use virtually controlled space crafts, so they didn't need to fear death while fighting.

However, the key leader of this group was Ayesha, and she finished the movie very angry and wanting revenge. In the post-credits, she revealed that she had created something new that would help her achieve her vengeance and showed a gold cocoon, which she named Adam. Of course, this was supposed to make people think of Adam Warlock, but is he ever going to show up in the cosmic MCU?

2 COLLECTOR AND GRANDMASTER RELATIONSHIP

MCU will likely never reveal this. In Guardians of the Galaxy, one of the key supporting characters is Taneleer Tivan, The Collector. Much like the comic book character, he collected one of each species, protecting them from extinction.

In the comics, he also happens to be the brother of The Grandmaster. Of course, Grandmaster appeared in Thor: Ragnarok and just like in the comics, he ran a Contest of Champions. However, there is nothing to indicate they are brothers. Now, what if the MCU made them brothers and all this is just a game to them? It is a good question.

1 THE ETERNALS

The next appearance of characters in the cosmic MCU is The Eternals. However, there is a considerable difference between these characters and the Guardians of the Galaxy. While Peter is from Earth, the rest of his team are aliens. The Eternals are characters who have spent eons on Earth, without anyone knowing.

However, here is the connection. Peter Quill is the son of Ego, and Ego was a Celestial. The Celestials are a mighty ancient race that experimented over the years. The Celestials are who created the Eternals and Deviants, and they are who left the Eternals on Earth. With Peter Quill half-Celestial, will the Guardians of the Galaxy be how Marvel introduces the Eternals to the MCU?
