"Quest for Tomorrow" Continues Bluewater's Partnership with Shatner

Official Press Release

Bluewater Productions will continue its successful partnership with actor William Shatner when it releases its new four-issue miniseries Quest for Tomorrow this September.

This science fiction adventure series follows Bluewater's highly successful TekWar Chronicles: Plague of Ghosts, a four-issue series that brought Shatner's pouplar TekWar novels to the pages of comic books for the first time.

The new series, written by David McIntee and drawn by Joey Mason, follows the adventures of Jim Endicott. When Endicott celebrates his 16th birthday, he finds himself hurled into a series of new worlds. Along the way, he becomes the hunted as he races for his life across a seemingly endless span of worlds.

Endicott soon discovers that the people who've populated his life so far aren't quite who they seem. Then again, Endicott also learns that the same holds true for him.

Shatner guided the editorial and art processes on this series, just as he did with TekWar Chronicles: Plague of Ghosts.

"I've always been fascinated by comic books and the way they've been evolving over the years," Shatner said. "To me, comic books are like heightened movies mixed with a little radio. QUEST FOR TOMORROW joins the highly successful TEK WAR series as my next venture in comic books. It's exciting, timely and entertaining. I hope you enjoy it."

The first issue of Quest for Tomorrow will be available in comic book shops and online at Amazon.com and other retailers in late September. The cover price for this 32-page issue is $3.99.

Bluewater Productions has gained fame for its biography comics of politicians, world leaders and celebrities. However, Darren Davis, founder and president of the independent comics company, says that he is especially proud of his company's line of fiction comics. Bluewater publishes horror, science fiction, superhero and young adult comics of all styles.

"Our partnership with Mr. Shatner has been extremely successful so far, and I'm looking forward to developing new titles with him," Davis said. "Who wouldn't enjoy working with a true icon of television?"
