Award-winning director and writer Quentin Tarantino will auction off a number of uncut scenes and original scripts from his film Pulp Fiction as NFTs.

These Pulp Fiction collectibles include seven uncut scenes, original handwritten scripts and exclusive audio commentary from Tarantino. According to CNBC, the NFTs are built by the blockchain ecosystem, the Secret Network, and will be auctioned off on the marketplace OpenSea. As with all NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, the content will only be viewable by the owners of the NFTs.

"I'm excited to be presenting these exclusive scenes from Pulp Fiction to fans," Tarantino said in a press release. "Secret Network and Secret NFTs provide a whole new world of connecting fans and artists and I'm thrilled to be a part of that." These Secret NFTs protect both the exclusive content and the identity of the future owners. The director will comment on these NFTs on a panel at the NFT NYC conference, alongside Mike Novogratz, a crypto investor and founder and CEO of Galaxy Digital.

Pulp Fiction was the second feature film by Tarantino and starred Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta. Released in 1994, it won Tarantino and co-writer Roger Avary the Oscar for best screenplay in 1995. It is not yet known how much these Pulp Fiction NFT's will go far at auction, but Tarantino is another in a growing list of creators that have broken into the world of NFTs by auctioning off their content.

Image Comics president Todd McFarlane recently mused about the idea of producing NFTs for buyers on a budget, selling content for between $0-$10, instead of thousands of dollars at a time.

"The question I've been asking is like can we do NFTs for like...two dollars," McFarlane said in a recent interview. "Like if I sell an original page, that's the only one I have, but what if I could have some pages that are across multiple platforms. I'm trying to figure out if you can have a crowd that only has $0 to $10 to spend, and another that has $10 to $100, and then the crowd that has $100 to $1000. I know there are some elite buyers out there, but that's only a handful. Trying to see if there's a business model for this for everybody, so that's my curiosity with it."

NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) is a form of cryptocurrency that offers a unique certificate of ownership, which can be used for digital assets like artwork, images and videos. For example, former Wonder Woman artist Jose Delbo sold $1.85 million worth of NFTs based on the character. In another instance, the NFT creator behind the Evolved Apes series earned nearly $3 million dollars last month before disappearing from the internet entirely.
