Aaron Fischer, the openly gay Captain America of the Railways, is getting his own Marvel Unlimited Infinity Comic series.

Marvel announced that Aaron will soon get his own Marvel Unlimited Infinity Comic solo series. The publisher has not yet announced a series title, creative team or release date; however, Marvel did unveil a Pride Month variant cover by David Talaski featuring the Captain America of the Railways. Talaski's Captain America: Cold War Omega #1 variant releases on June 14, 2023.

Aaron Fischer was created by writer Josh Trujillo and artist Jan Bazaldua and first appears in 2021's United States of Captain America #1. A homeless runaway who left his previous life behind him after his father abused him for being gay, Aaron joined the Captains Network -- a group of Captain Americas scattered across the country -- before he eventually crossed paths with Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers. Aaron is known as the Captain America of the Railways because he frequently travels across the United States on trains while trying to help the homeless and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Marvel's Pride Month Variant Series Also Includes Black Cat, Escapade and Web-Weaver

In addition to Talaski's Captain America: Cold War Omega #1 variant, Marvel also revealed a handful of Pride Month covers created by Lucas Werneck. Web-Weaver, Marvel's first openly gay Spider-Man who will soon embark on a new adventure in the upcoming Marvel’s Voices: Spider-Verse anthology, stars in the Amazing Spider-Man #27 variant (releasing June 14, 2023) while Felicia Hardy/Black Cat steals the spotlight in the Amazing Spider-Man #28 cover (releasing June 21, 2023). Escapade, the trans mutant hero who debuted in 2022's Marvel’s Voices: Pride and is currently starring in the New Mutants: Lethal Legion miniseries, takes center stage in Werneck's X-Men #23 variant (releasing June 7, 2023). Additional variants starring Rachel Summers and Daken created by Talaski for Immortal X-Men #12 (releasing June 7, 2023) and X-Men Red #12 (releasing June 14, 2023) will be revealed at a later date.

"I love comics, and it's always exciting when I get to draw these characters, but it becomes an honor when it's for my community of Queer comic fans," Talaski said. "What makes getting to draw Aaron, Rachel and Daken special is that they're all LGBTQIA+ characters from across 40 years of comics so it feels like I get to make something, not just for longtime fans, but for new ones as well."

Werneck added, "The category is PRIDE! It was so fun to make these three covers. My idea was to put the characters in a Ballroom setting, living the best moment of their lives to remind ourselves to do the same. We’re beautiful the way we are and we deserve to shine and be happy. I'm so thrilled to be part of Marvel’s Pride celebration for a second year, this means a lot to me! I really hope fans enjoy these covers as much as I enjoyed making them!”
