Families across the nation are finding new ways to pass the time while responsibly practicing social distancing. One family took to creating and sharing their own version of The Simpsons classic opening sequence.

Posted on Youtube by Joel A. Sutherland, the video features a family all dressed as Simpsons characters masks reenacting various segments from the show's opening. "Our kids were bored after four weeks of social isolation," Sutherland shared in the video's description, "My wife and I cleaned the basement and wondered what we should do with our old Simpsons Halloween costumes. One of these problems solved the other. The end result was this video."

Created by Matt Groening, The Simpsons premiered on Fox in 1989 and went on to become one of the most popular American sitcoms of all time as well as the longest-running. The series is in its 31st season and has currently released 679 episodes. Several video games, comic books, board games and more have spawned from the series. The Simpsons even received a feature-length film, which premiered in 2007.

After three decades, The Simpsons became a property of Disney in the House of Mouse's acquisition of Fox, which is why the Simpsons short, Playdate With Destiny was played in theaters before the Pixar movie Onward. Seasons 1-30 of The Simpsons are currently available for streaming on Disney+.

The Simpsons airs Sundays on Fox at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
