The Punisher's War Machine armor is making a triumphant return... as a Funko Pop!
The PREVIEWS Exclusive 3-3/4” vinyl Pop! figure showcases Frank Castle in his infamous Iron Man-style armor that he wore after James "Rhodey" Rhodes was killed just prior to Civil War II. It costs $12.99 and will be released in comic stores on April 15.
The collectable also comes with a special comic incentive. Through March 16, for every six figures pre-ordered, retailers will receive an exclusive Marvel Comics variant edition: Empyre #1 Funko Variant. Customers interested in purchasing the comic should consult their local comic shop.
Following the original War Machine's death at the hands of Thanos, Nick Fury gives the armor to Frank Castle. This allows Frank to take his crusade from the streets of New York to the skies of a globalized world. Some readers criticized this decision by Marvel Comics as a stain on the original War Machine's legacy.
