Wondering why Thomas Jane’s Punisher is wearing all that black in hot ol’ Tampa? Comics Continuum has an answer from gabby producer Gail Anne Hurd. “First reason is that’s where the script is based. Frank Castle was on a number of different operations in the field. This is where his last undercover op was. It’s unfortunately where things went down in a such way that his family paid the consequences. So’s he come back for vengeance. For punishment.”
E! Online chimed in on the casting rumors for the Man of Steel. According to their columnist Anderson Jones, “I’m told that McG, the unofficial director of Superman at Warner Bros. wants 20-year-old Henry Cavill to become his Clark Kent.”

ALIENS VS. PREDATOR
Creepy actor Lance Henriksen talked to Fangoria and let slip some things about the new “AVP” movie. He said, “I don’t play Bishop in this movie, I play the man who created him. He’s a billionaire and is responsible for taking this expedition to Antarctica, where everything takes place. It’s a pretty cool character. I can’t tell you guys anything else — they made me sign not to tell. The thing is, they keep sending me new versions of [the script]. It’s gonna be a very, very exciting movie — I promise you that. I hope it turns out as good as ‘Aliens.'”

Speaking of American heroes, IGN’s Filmforce has an update on the live action “G.I. Joe” adaptation which everyone has been buzzing about.
