When Frank Castle returns to the screen, he will have to pick up a few loose pieces from the past. Jigsaw pieces.

Earlier today, a video from the set of the second season of The Punisher confirmed that Season 1 villain Billy Russo would return to torment the titular hero once more.

In the video, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher engages in a firefight in the middle of the street. But he isn’t shooting at just anybody: while there are many henchmen on the scene, they appear to be lead by Ben Barnes’ Billy Russo.

The video is taken from afar, but Russo can still clearly be seen taking off some sort of mask. This isn’t all that surprising, considering that Season 1 of the Netflix series ended with Castle mutilating the face of his former friend, and beating him within an inch of his life.

In the comics, Russo, whose face is completely covered in scars, assumes the identity of Jigsaw and becomes one the most important villains in The Punisher’s rogues gallery. Considering Castle is the one responsible for those scars on the television series, it appears Russo will have quite the score to settle.
