Marvel's The Punisher has added three new cast members, and confirmed the return of a key player: Ben Barnes as antagonist Billy Russo. Josh Stewart (Shooter), Floriana Lima (Supergirl) and Giorgia Whigham (Scream) have joined the upcoming second season of the Netflix drama.

According to Deadline, Stewart plays John Pilgrim, whose circumstances will bring him and the violent skills he's acquired in his past into contact with Frank Castle; Lima portrays Krista Dumont, a psychotherapist working with military veterans; and Whigham is griftter Amy Bendix, a character introduced in 1994 in Marvel Comics' Punisher: War Zone #24.

In addition to Barnes' return as Billy Russo, Amber Rose Revah will reprise her role as Dinah Madani, and Jason R. Moore will once again play Curtis Hoyle. Two character descriptions for The Punisher Season 2 seem to indicate an adaptation, however loose, of Garth Ennis’ 2005-06 Marvel Comics arc “The Slavers.” Showrunner Steve Lightfoot has also expressed his love for the villain Barracuda, so it’s possible that character might make an appearance this season.
