In November 2017, The Punisher was given his own series on Netflix, joining Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, Marvel's Executive Vice President and Creative Director Joe Quesada has released artwork used on a t-shirt for the show's cast and crew for the start of Season 2, featuring Jon Bernthal's portrayal of the eponymous antihero in action. The images of both Quesada's art and the actual shirt show The Punisher opening fire while standing in front of his iconic skull emblem, with the show's intertitle beneath him. Adding to the artwork's bombastic tone are the bullets flying out of The Punisher's gun, with each getting closer and closer to the viewer.RELATED: Props From Marvel's Punisher and Defenders Netflix Series to Be Auctioned

In addition to this, Quesada also recently shared an unfinished image featuring Bernthal's take on the character.

Debuting in Season 2 of Netflix's Daredevil, Bernthal's Frank Castle/Punisher would eventually be given his own short-lived spinoff series on the streaming service, which saw former Hannibal writer and executive producer Steve Lightfoot serve as showrunner and executive producer. Bernthal recently stated he wasn't done playing the character, though the decision is out of his control.

The Punisher Season 2 stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Josh Stewart as John Pilgrim, Floriana Lima as Krista Dumont and Giorgia Whigham as Amy Bendix. Both seasons of the show are now streaming on Netflix.
