The battle royale-style video game PUBG Mobile is having a crossover event with one of pop culture's most recognizable television shows (comics-based or otherwise), AMC's The Walking Dead.

Right on time for the show's Season 10 premiere,  players who download PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on their mobile devices will be able to play Walking Dead-themed content from Oct. 1 through early 2020. Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation released a trailer along with a few details as to what the kind of content coming to the video game.

Players can look forward playing as the show's iconic characters including Daryl Dixon, Michonne, Rick Grimes and Negan. Exclusive TWD-themed weapons and vehicles will also be available, such as Daryl's motorcycle, Michonne's katana and Negan's bat, Lucille.

Vincent Wang, the General Manager of Global Publishing Department of Tencent Games, spoke with ScreenRant on the game's collaboration with AMC saying. "AMC has been very involved from the very beginning," Wang said. "They have had a lot of experience working with gaming companies, so have been great at reviewing our design documents, character models and ideas, helping us to refine our gameplay ideas to match the integrity of the show. It’s been a surprisingly fast turn-around from first conversation to launch and we’re very happy with the way they’ve embraced the project."

Wang also noted that the development team are Walking Dead fans and are happy to make this project happen before the Halloween season goes into full swing.

AMC's The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nadia Hilker, Dan Fogler, Angel Theory, Lauren Ridloff and Eleanor Matsuura. The series returns for Season 10 on Oct. 6.

PUBG Mobile is developed and published by Tencent Games and is available to download on Android and iOS devices. The game has had prior crossover events with Resident Evil 2, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Mission: Impossible - Fallout.
