The longtime fan-favorite crime-solving comedy series Psych is returning to the USA Network this year for a new television movie, just in time for the holidays.

In a new video, original stars James Roday and Dulé Hill reunite to formally announce Psych: The Movie 2, teasing the return of their character, Shawn Spencer and Gus Guster, as the duo investigates a new string of murders in their hometown of Santa Barbara.

"It will be bigger, better and Gussier!" Hill promised.

Psych premiered on USA in 2006, running for eight seasons before its eventual end in 2014. A revival television film, co-written and produced by Roday and starring the series' main cast premiered in 2017 showing the continuing adventures of the characters embroiled in new mysteries.

The series followed the adventures of Shawn Spencer, a ne'er-do-well who uses his abilities to observe small details and powers of deduction to pose as a psychic consulting private detective for the Santa Barbara Police Department.
