A new user video displays how the Playstation 5 runs whisper-quiet while running the upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game.

In the PlayStation video by user LazerEnzo, the PS5 console appears to be in a semi-enclosed space with the camera only barely picking up the soft whirring of the PS5's fan. The television in the video is apparently muted, and it's only once the camera is placed directly in front of the console that the noise of the fan becomes especially noticeable.

While the video's quality and background noise make it difficult to discern exactly how loud the PS5 will ultimately be, the video may be an encouraging sign for those looking to become early adopters of the new console.

The PS5 is set for release Thursday, Nov. 12, though launch day sales will reportedly be online only. The console will launch alongside a variety of new games including Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Bugsnax, and a remake of the Playstation 3 classic Demon's Souls.

The PS5's launch will mark a major step forward from the current generation of gaming consoles and will feature higher resolutions and higher frame rates, as well as faster load times thanks to a powerful new solid-state hard drive.

PlayStation 5 goes on sale on Nov. 12. The Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive version will retail for $499 USD, while the Digital Edition without a disc drive will retail for $399.
