A new hi-tech costume for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales has been revealed.

The costume, revealed by Game Informer, sees Miles wearing a helmet and a padded jacket over a sleeker Spider-Man suit. The helmet itself has a faceplate with an image of Miles' Spider-Man mask, as well as built-in headphone jacks. His jacket, meanwhile, features a new version of the Spider-Man symbol, and his web-shooters appear to be built into his gloves. Glowing red fingertips complete the look.

The costume is based on a variant cover for Spider-Man: Miles Morales #13 by Rahzzah Murdock, which was part of an initiative that pictured several Marvel characters in futuristic costumes in order to promote Marvel Comics' Iron Man 2020. Murdock has provided variants for other Marvel titles, including hip-hop variants for Champions and Black Panther.

More alternate costumes will be available for Miles during the course of the game. One of these costumes is the all-new T.R.A.C.K. suit designed by Spider-Man: Miles Morales artist Javier Garrón, while another costume based on Miles' appearance in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has been teased by developer Insomniac Games.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales takes place one year after the events of Marvel's Spider-Man, and finds Miles Morales stepping up as Spider-Man when Peter Parker has to depart for a Daily Bugle assignment. Miles is pulled into a battle between the Roxxon Energy Corporation and the hi-tech villain The Tinkerer, with his hometown of Harlem at stake.
