Spider-Man: Miles Morales will debut tomorrow for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and takes place a year after its 2018 predecessor Marvel's Spider-Man. Now a full-fledged superhero, Miles is tasked with protecting New York City from crime after Peter Parker goes on vacation with Mary Jane. However, when the Tinkerer starts causing trouble, Miles must push himself to new limits and prove that he can be the hero he was always destined to become. The game will also feature the Prowler and the Roxxon Energy Corporation.

Miles Morales was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli in 2011. His first appearance was in Ultimate Fallout #4, which came out in August of that year. He has similar powers to Peter Parker but can also shoot bursts of electrical energy out of his hands. Since his comics debut, he has risen in popularity, eventually making his way to the big screen. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse grossed $375.5 million on a $90 million budget and won Best Animated Feature at the 91st Academy Awards and Best Animated Feature Film at the 76th Golden Globe Awards. A sequel is currently in development and will feature Japanese Spider-Man from the 1970s Japanese series.

There are also rumors swirling that Morales will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut in the untitled Spider-Man 3 starring Tom Holland. A deleted scene from 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming featured Miles' uncle Aaron (Donald Glover) saying his name.

This is not the first time Grassetti has drawn Marvel Comics characters. In the summer, he posted his takes on classic X-Men characters, including James "Logan" Howlett/Wolverine, Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner, Cyclops/Scott Summers, Colossus/Piotr Rasputin, Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, Hank McCoy/Beast and Ororo Munroe/Storm. He also recently shared a Hobgoblin design for Halloween.

Developed by Insomniac Games and PlayStation Studios, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 12.
