During PlayStation 5's Showcase event, Warner Bros' Games and Portkey Games dropped the debut trailer for their open-world Harry Potter video game entitled, Hogwart's Legacy. Set in the 1800s, gamers are asked to enroll in Hogwarts -- like any other wizard during this era -- but are warned to be careful of the choices that they make, as their gameplay will ultimately rewrite the legacy of Hogwarts.
Below is the officially revealed trailer for fans looking to know more about what adventures await them in Hogwart's hallowed halls. Warner Bros. Games also shared the game's social pages, including its Twitter account, for those who'd like to follow for updates on when the game will be officially released on PS5's next-generation console.
In the trailer, we hear a mysterious voice calling us to "create potions, master spell, tame beasts," but to also remember that "the larger world beyond these walls is full of dangers you can't quite imagine." The narration warns that "that strange and mysterious talent you possess may be the key to unlocking this power...your potential is limitless, but, what form will it take?"

At this time, there is no word on Hogwart's Legacy release date; however, we do know that PS5's next-generation console is aiming to drop in November, so the wait for this game might not go past the holiday season.
