Just like Prison School, Seitokai Yakuindomo is set at an all-girls school recently gone co-ed. Unlike Prison School though, it's merely a regular school instead of a boarding school. Moreover, the focus is on just one guy: Takatoshi Tsuda, who is forcibly added to the school's student council. Tsuda is made into the spokesperson for the school's growing male population.
Anyone who enjoyed Prison School's risqué sense of humor will find themselves enjoying Seitokai Yakuindomo instantly. While Tsuda himself plays the straight man, the girls that make up Ousai Private Academy's student council are the opposite. All of them enjoy cracking lewd jokes, and constantly subjecting Tsuda to as many ribs as he can tolerate.

10 Best Magical School Anime, Ranked
Series set in magical schools run the gamut, from parody to drama to slice-of-life, adding a bit of fantasy to the typical school life story.
Demographic |
Shonen |
Adaptation |
Light Novel |
MyAnimeList Score |
7.52 |
Baka and Test introduces viewers to a magic school where all students are divided into classes based on their performance. For students to climb up, they have to be willing to use special avatars known as Summoned Beings to wage war against higher-ranked classes. For the series, viewers follow the lowest ranked Class F and their attempt to upset the balance of power at Fumizuki Academy.
Baka and Test is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds. It's full of sight gags and physical humor, just like Prison School. It isn't quite as ecchi, but it doesn't shy away from fanservice and ecchi scenes either. People who'd like to see a bit more fantastical elements would find something like Baka and Test enjoyable.
13 Cromartie High School Parodies Classic Delinquent Manga
Cromartie High School

Demographic |

MyAnimeList Score |

Cromartie High School might not have the same bawdy taste in comedy as Prison School, but it can be just as ridiculous. The series focuses on Tokyo Metropolitan's Cromartie High School, a place full of tough guy delinquents. Everything begins when Takashi Kamiyama joins, a seemingly normal student who gains a dangerous reputation just for choosing to go there.
Cromartie High School stands out by employing absurdist humor. Where else can people go to see a high school where one of the main characters is a gorilla, or someone who looks identical to Queen front man Freddie Mercury?
12 Asobi Asobase Focuses on the Pastimes of a Trio of Middle Schoolers
Asobi Asobase
Three girls form a school club. They play games, but the outcomes often alarm them.
- Cast
- Hina Kino , Konomi Kohara
- Studio
- Lerche
Demographic |
Shonen |
Adaptation |
Manga |
MyAnimeList Score |
8.19 |
In contrast to Prison School, Asobi Asobase focuses on a group of girls rather than just the guys. At an all-girls middle school, a trio of middle schoolers become friends and form an unofficial club known as the Pasttime Club. While there, the girls just find ways to waste time--they come up with strange, nonsensical goals that in the end matter less than getting to spend time together.
Asobi Asobase feels more wholesome than Prison School. However, the actual absurdist humor is going to hit many of the same notes. The show tosses realism out the window for the sake of a good joke, with some top-tier voice acting to really put over the humor.
11 Daily Lives of High-School Boys Enjoys Placing Its Characters in Hilarious, Nonsensical Situations

MyAnimeList Score |

Like Prison School, Daily Lives Of High School Boys focuses on a group of young boys spending time together. However, while Prison School features the boys constantly getting wrapped up in ecchi scenarios, Daily Lives just focuses on their silly everyday adventures. It feels similar to Ed, Edd, and Eddy with teenage protagonists, as there's always some new scheme the group is getting involved in.
It should be obvious what sort of series Daily Lives is aiming to be when the anime admits they cut out the straight man from many of the episodes. While there are slice-of-life elements for people looking for that, most of the time the goal is putting likable characters in as many comedic situations as possible.

Kakegurui is about a girl named Jabami Yumeko who enrolls into a school where gambling is the norm, but unknown to the student body, she's a professional gambler. The anime focuses on Yumeko's journey to take-down the school's student-council president Kirari.
Like Prison School, Kakegurui contains self-aware humor and some bizarre animated sequences. To some degree, Kakegurui's anime adaptation suffered from not having its source material fully adapted. Nonetheless, for those who enjoyed Prison School's raunchy humor and weird scenery, Kakegurui shouldn't disappoint.
