EXCLUSIVE: Freyja Just Became War of the Realms' MVP

It's easy to forget that Freyja, the mother of Thor and queen of Asgard, is a very capable fighter. If there was ever any confusion, though, a preview for War of the Realms #4 has cleared things up handily.

The preview sees Freyja take hold of the Bitterblade as she and several other Marvel heroes wrap up their quest to take control of the Malekith's Black Bifrost. To say she's able to easily handle the horde of Dark Elves surging her way would be an understatement.

This may be Freyja's last stand, or it might be just a footnote in the War of the Realms. Either way, things are starting to look up for Earth and realms Malekith has conquered if Freyja is on the case.

  • Pray to All-Mother Freyja! For in her hands lies the key to ending Malekith’s war. The Black Bifrost — the only method of travel for Malekith’s vast armies — must fall. Even with the Punisher, Ghost Rider, Blade and Hulk (Jen Walters) at Freyja’s side, how many Dark Elves can one goddess kill? While Freyja’s team heads for the swamps of Svartalfheim, Captain America’s rescue mission in Jotunheim faces the wrath of giants, Captain Marvel leads a global assault team against Malekith’s allies and the Black Panther defends Avengers Mountain against a siege of mythic proportion. None of them know that Malekith has a secret weapon. And its bite will prove most…VENOMOUS.
