Bruce Banner has no shortage of alternate personas to fall back on when the going gets tough. Unfortunately, the going recently got tough enough that the former Avenger can no longer transform into the Immortal Hulk, leaving the scientist and superhero vulnerable. That is, until another personality takes the wheel.

A preview for Immortal Hulk #17 reveals that one of Bruce Banner's most dangerous personas has taken over, only this time it's not in the form of a Hulk. The name Joe Fixit is usually associated with the Grey Hulk, which is why it's such a surprise that the slick mobster personality has emerged without Bruce Banner having to transform.

Despite not being grey and made entirely of muscles, Joe holds his own against the cyborg Bushwacker. He makes a run for it after using a couple of dirty tricks to throw the assassin off his game, but it's unclear if Joe is just dropping by or if he'll be staying for a while. We'll know more when Bruce Banner finds his way back to the night.
