The Caped Crusader returns to his detective roots in our preview of this week's Detective Comics #988.

Writer James Robinson begins his guest-run on the title, and he's joined by artist Stephen Segovia for a story that sees the Dark Knight investigating what appears to be an ordinary murder. However, as it turns out, no crime in Gotham City is ever truly ordinary, and Batman's wish to get his mind off of his personal life may end up being more than he bargained for.
