The first teaser poster for Shane Black's The Predator has been spotted online and safe to say, it's an electrifying one. The poster, unveiled at London's Brand Licensing Expo by 20th Century Fox, can be found on Instagram which features a lightning strike over a city, its bolts taking on the distinct shape of the alien hunter.

The movie officially wrapped production last June and will serve as a sequel to the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi action film about a team of commandos in the Central American jungle who encounter the ruthless extraterrestrial warrior. The new film will see humanity encountering more than one Predator, but this time in a suburbia setting as opposed to the jungle, which syncs up nicely with this poster.

Cameras began rolling on the project in February, with Black taking to social media to share a first look at the ensemble cast. Since then, details have been kept under wraps about the movie's plot, except that it's expected to be a bloody and R-rated affair.

Directed and co-written by Black, The Predator stars Olivia Munn, Boyd Holbrook, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key and 50 Cent. The film is scheduled for release on Feb. 9, 2018.
