The hunt continues to evolve with the Chinese poster for director Shane Black's The Predator.
Entirely in the sci-fi series signature thermal vision, the poster has surfaced showcasing what appears to be the female Predator with an ominous target aimed right for her heart.
First seen at last month at a panel for the upcoming sequel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, the film marks the debut of female Predators on the big screen. In the footage shown, a larger, ultimate Predator engaged its sleeker, female counterpart with star Olivia Munn caught in the middle of the confrontation. The Chinese poster continues to play off this conflict indicating that the ultimate Predators will indeed be hunting the more traditional alien hunters.
While the film is the first time female Predators have been seen in live-action, previous novelizations and comic book series have explored the gender dynamics within the extraterrestrial species with female hunters standing equal with their male counterparts in society and participating in interplanetary hunts themselves.
Now in the cross hairs of its larger, genetically enhanced rival, all of Earth is about to be caught in the crosshairs of the new hunt.
Directed by Shane Black from a script he wrote with Fred Dekker, The Predator stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Jane Thomas, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski. The film arrives in theaters on September 14.
