A small town faces a threat that's even greater than The Predator in the latest trailer for Shane Black's long-awaited sequel.
As we learned in April from the first synopsis, the extraterrestrial hunters have been upgrading themselves using DNA collected from each planet, and here we see the terrifying results: the "ultimate predators."
The footage also better lays out the premise, with Sterling K. Brown playing a government operative who clearly knows about the Predators -- "I'm in acquisitions; I look up, and I catch what falls out of the sky" -- and what they can do, while Boyd Holbrook's ragtag crew of ex-soldiers poses dangers of its own.
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
Directed by Shane Black from a script he wrote with Fred Dekker, The Predator stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Jane Thomas, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski. The film arrives in theaters on Sept. 14.
