Preacher officially welcomes Gran'ma and Allfather D'Aronique, and welcomes back Tulip, in a trailer and featurette for the upcoming third season of the AMC drama.
They arrive ahead of the June 24 season premiere, which brings Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) to his childhood home of Angelville, in hopes that someone -- say, his grandmother, played by Betty Buckley -- can resurrect Tulip (Ruth Negga).
The footage also features TC (Colin Cunningham), Jody (Jeremy Childs), and, notably, Allfather D’Aronique (Jonny Coyne), a distant uncle of Jesse's who leads a religious cult called the Grail, which is sworn to protect the secret bloodline of Jesus Christ. Fans also get the welcome returns of Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), Arseface (Ian Colletti) and, you know, Man Dog ... better known as God ... in a latex S&M costume.
Developed by Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Preacher is adapted from the acclaimed Vertigo comics series created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.
Returning Sunday, June 24, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on AMC, Preacher stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Lucy Griffiths, W. Earl Brown, Ian Colletti, Pip Torrens, Noah Taylor and Julie Ann Emery.
