The first trailer for Season 3 of Preacher on AMC teases the debut of some important characters from the Vertigo Comics series.

The teaser trailer provides a first official look at the upcoming third season, including Angelville, Louisiana. The southern plantation is the abusive household where Preacher protagonist Jesse Custer grew up. Marking Custer's homecoming are family members Gran'ma, played by Betty Buckley, TC, played by Colin Cunningham and Jody, played by Jeremy Childs. However, the big reveal from the trailer is Jonny Coyne's Allfather D'Aronique.

A distant uncle of Custer's, D'Aronique is the leader of the clandestine religious cult known as the Grail that is sworn to protect the secret bloodline of Jesus Christ. Coyne's Allfather is seen in the trailer holding an image of Jesus' descendant.

According to episode synopses released by AMC, Custer and his vampire friend Cassidy take Custer's ex-girlfriend Tulip to Angelville in a desperate bid to save her life.

With the debut of Angelville and Custer's extended family, the third season of Preacher, adapting the Vertigo book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, is shaping up to be a descent into Jesse Custer's own personal Hell.
