Marvel's December 2014 Solicitations are here, and as you'd expect from a month filled with "AXIS" and "Spider-Verse" tie-ins, there are quite a few story tidbits and milestones contained within -- including numerous battles between alternate versions of characters. Whether it's Superior vs. Amazing in "Amazing Spider-Man" #11, the All-New X-Men vs. the Ultimate X-Men in "All-New X-Men" #36 or two Men Without Fear in "Daredevil" #11, there are quite a few cases of identity crisis in store for the Marvel heroes.

Sharp-eyed fans may have noticed that there are three titles missing from the December 2014 solicits: "Ms. Marvel," "Silver Surfer" and "Iron Fist: The Living Weapon" are not on listed, but fear not! CBR News has confirmed with Marvel that all three series are merely taking the month off. UPDATE: "All-New Ghost Rider" will also return in January.

Although it isn't yet the new year, December is also notable for a number of new series debuts. Not only will "Spider-Man and The X-Men," "Angela" and "S.H.I.E.L.D." see their first issues, but a brand-new "Powers" ongoing by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming is on the docket. In terms of #1 issues, December is also the month for annuals, with "The Secret Life of Eva Bell" spanning "Uncanny X-Men Annual" #1 and "All-New X-Men Annual" #1. Plus, the anticipated new "Miracleman" material debuts in "All-New Miracleman Annual" #1, with Joe Quesada illustrating a never-before-seen Grant Morrison story, and Peter Milligan and Mike Allred reuniting for a brand-new tale.

As for the rest of the solicits, "She-Hulk" #11 promises to reveal The Blue File; "Death of Wolverine: Logan's Legacy" #6 puts an emphasis on the word "Destiny" when discussing Mystique, possibly implying a return of the late mutant precog; the fate of Hope Summers will be revealed in "X-Force" #13 and the Ultimate Universe will get its own version of Terror, Inc. in "All-New Ultimates" #11.
