Powers of X and Empyre artist R.B. Silva will be adding a new galactic threat in his and Dan Slott's Fantastic Four #25.

Images from the new issue, revealed by SYFY WIRE, show a blue, mysterious alien watching earth. With narrowed eyes, it begins to hurtle toward the planet with its fists outward as it nears the Fantastic Four base. On another page, a green explosion erupts from the base in New York City, and silhouettes of what appear to be the heroes are pulled upward by a green light that leaves rubble and ruins behind.

This new alien is a product of Silva's passion for sci-fi, a genre that is continuously reflected in his works. The concept in Fantastic Four #25 consists of many different influences, so Silva said it's hard to pinpoint what exactly inspired what "readers will see in this arc, because it's a lot of things, a lot of movies and TV series."

"Right now, I can't say much," he added. "I can only assure you that Dan [Slott] is coming up with something amazing! And for that, you must read Fantastic Four #25."

Fantastic Four #25, by Dan Slott and R.B. Silva, goes on sale in October from Marvel Comics.
