DC Entertainment has released the unaired episode of NBC's Powerless featuring a guest appearance by Adam West. It's one of the final roles of the beloved Batman actor, who passed away June 9 at age 88.

West guest stars as Dean West, chairman of Wayne Industries, who pays a visit to Charm City to deliver some bad news to Wayne Security: They've reached a deal to sell the division to corporate rival LexCorp.

The announcement is followed by a clever nod to the 1966 Batman TV series, as West turns to the camera to ask, in classically alliterative fashion, "Will this rag-tag band of plucky performers keep their precious positions, or will they be thrown to the wolves? Find out next week!"

Set within the DC Universe, Powerless was a workplace comedy about Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) and her colleagues at Wayne Security, a division of Wayne Industries devoted to developing products to protect everyday citizens in a world populated by superheroes and supervillains. NBC abruptly pulled the struggling sitcom from its schedule in late March before officially canceling the show last month.

At the time of its cancellation, two Powerless episodes remained unaired, "Win, Luthor, Draw," guest-starring West, and the season -- or, ultimately, series -- finale "Van of the Year." According to DC, the West episode will be available for streaming only for a limited time.

Representatives of DC Entertainment, including President Diane Nelson and Co-Publisher Jim Lee, were among those who gathered Thursday night in Los Angeles for a tribute to West, during which the Bat-Signal was shone on City Hall.
