If there's one thing for sure, it is that anime does not do anything half-way. In fact, the over-top characters and improbability of the situations they find themselves in are but some of the reasons fans love anime so much, but the one thing that anime makes sure to do is always present an excessive amount of strength in its characters.
Anime offers us characters whose strength's go beyond ordinary physical strength, magical power, intellect, and strength of spirit. Those incredible characters are often encountered in any type of action anime and, as surprising as this may seem, very often happen to be children, making them both insanely cool and pretty terrifying at the same time. Of course, there are many more characters who deserve to be acknowledged, such as Midoriya, Edward Elric, or even Monkey D. Luffy, yet for the purpose of this list, all characters are under 13 years old.
10 Emma
Before you go screaming that Emma is just a regular girl with no superhuman strength, no magical powers, or great intellect, let's just take a second to appreciate that strength comes in all sorts of forms. Emma may not be powerful in a physical or magical kind of way, but she is still one of the strongest anime kids that has ever been created.
Her ability to remain positive for the good of her family after making the most disturbing discovery and her constant selflessness gives her power over even the most powerful opponents. Her unwavering positivity, her pureness, and her devotion to the ones she loves are all qualities that earned her a spot on this list.
9 Sakura Kinomoto
Sakura is barely 10 when she finds herself in charge of the Clow Cards. Despite her young age, she takes on this task with courage and determination, consistently putting herself in danger to save others like a real hero. Her ability to harness magic and control even the most dangerous cards makes her a powerful character both within her own world but also compared to other anime characters.
However, it is her infinite kindness and selflessness that got her a spot on this list. Her magical strength allows her not only to harness the power of the cards but also to enhance this power. Pretty awesome for a 10-year-old.
8 Aladdin
Somehow, the most powerful anime kids also rank pretty high on the list of cutest anime kids, which is definitely all to their advantage since it's easy to underestimate them.
Aladdin is one of the four remaining Magi of the world and as such, he yields a fair amount of magical power. He's not the strongest in terms of fighting techniques, but has access to a wide range of magical abilities like all sorts of elemental manipulations, summonings, and even mind manipulation.
7 Baby Beel
Hard to believe that such a cute, chubby-faced little baby could rank this high on a list of strongest and most powerful anime kids, but it turns out that this is no ordinary baby. Baby Beel is, in fact, a demon, son of Beelzebub III and Iris, sent to Earth to destroy humanity.
Thankfully, Baby Beel isn't so inclined to play God of Destruction, still, he remains very powerful despite him not knowing how to control his power. He would fry-up anyone that frightens him by becoming a living bolt of lightning and could flood a whole city with his demonic urine. Just imagine how strong he'll be once he's grown up.
6 Wendy Marvell
This very bubbly, clumsy, and naive girl hides some pretty powerful magic. Raised and taught magic by a dragon, Wendy is one of the Dragon Slayers in the Fairy Tail anime, and as such, she holds a rare and powerful type of magic.
She possesses Sky Dragon magic which allows her to use air and wind as a weapon against her enemies, but her strongest attribute lies in her support magic. Although she is a strong fighter, she is also incredibly gifted in healing and support magic which also turns the tide in her favor in big battles.
5 Gon Freecss
Gon Freecss is one of the most wholesome, infinitely sweet and overall just good characters out there. He is a ray of sunshine warming even the coldest of hearts. Seeing this character triggers an instant desire to protect him with our lives because of how utterly precious and pure he is, yet, you can be sure that he'd be the one protecting you.
Gon has incredible physical strength for a boy his age on top of pretty darn amazing instincts that often give him the upper hand in a fight. However, he can sometimes let his emotions cloud his judgment which has turned against him a few times.
4 Son Gohan - Dragon Ball
Ok, we're gonna cheat a little bit here because there are a few super-strong children in this series, starting with young Goku. His Saiyan origins granted him incredible strength which, coupled with his natural love for battle and utter goodness make me a pretty tough opponent. Trunks is also incredibly strong and has proven himself to be a very skilled fighter, to the point of even out-living Goku and Vegeta in the future!
But the strongest of them all is Gohan, particularly young Gohan. Seriously, this boy has some scary vibes when he's mad!
3 Child Emperor - One Punch Man
Child Emperor's strength lies in his intellect. As it happens, he is a true genius with a very analytical mind ,which also allows him to formulate clear and precise plans even in a high-pressure situation. His capacity to analyze and work through tough situations, as well as his obvious maturity earned him not only the highest-ranked position among heroes but also made him the unofficial leader of the S-Class heroes despite his young age. Although his physical strength is pretty much average, his brainpower makes him very powerful and dangerous.
2 Killua Zoldyck - Hunter x Hunter
Everyone's first reaction when seeing Killua is a mix between falling desperately in love and passing out from cuteness overload, but don't be fooled, this boy is a professionally trained assassin who will literally rip your heart out with his bare hands before you could even blink.
Killua is one of those characters that starts off really strong and consistently continues to grow stronger and stronger. As the series progresses, he learns how to better control his power, as well as discovers new ones that sure came in handy a number of times!
1 Selim Bradley/Pride - Full Metal Alchemist
Talking about scary children, here's one no one would want to babysit. Selim Bradley, AKA Pride is one of the many antagonists in the Fullmetal Alchemist series and he's hands down the strongest and most terrifying of them all. To be fair, anyone with the power to control shadows is at least a bit scary, but there's something about Pride's cold, dead eyes that just sends chills down your spine. He is ruthless and determined to see his goals successful, which makes him one of the most dangerous villains.
