The Power Rangers franchise is filled to the brim with characters that have become fan favorites over time. Though they tend to rank lower than most of the other colors, typically due to a lack of storylines, Yellow Rangers have always been strong characters with an emphasis on teamwork.

Having appeared in every season except Dino Charge and Dino Fury, Yellow Rangers are a diverse group of powerful fighters, leaders, and overall cool characters. Out of all Yellow Rangers, only those that spent more time as a Yellow Ranger than another color are considered to be true Yellow Rangers, so while Jason spent time as a Yellow Ranger, he is not an option for the best, even if he is the best Red Ranger.

Throughout Time Force, she is proven to be the literal strongest member of the team in and out of her suit, even able to lift large pieces of debris.

In addition to her strength, Katie routinely shows love and affection for her teammates, especially Green Time Force Ranger Trip, whom she often hugged and kissed playfully. While she didn’t receive as much screen time as Jen and Wes, Katie easily made a name for herself with the fanbase.

Kira Ford is a grunge queen that was instantly relatable for viewers of all ages during her introduction in Dino Thunder. She perfectly fits the “teenagers with attitude” vibe that the show tried to achieve whenever the cast was made of younger members.

As a Ranger, Kira proved herself both capable and powerful. Her Ptera Scream is a weapon unparalleled by any other ranger’s inherent power outside the suit in terms of defense, offense, and utility. While she didn’t receive nearly enough solo time, her focus episodes always had fans hooked.

Dustin also serves as a powerful member of the team, even if he is consciously less intelligent than those around him. He has a big heart and fills a lot of nerdy fans’ positions in seeing themselves on screen.

Appearing as the Yellow Ranger in both Zeo and Turbo, Tanya was the replacement for Aisha Taylor, the former Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger. In many ways, Tanya was the first child to become a Power Ranger as she was aged up to teenhood thanks to the reversal of Master Vile’s tampering.

Her time on both teams was packed with strong storylines and character development, bringing her from the new girl of the team to a powerhouse in a few short years. She also started an interesting tradition of Rangers wanting to be singers which would be seen by several Rangers including Kira.

1 Trini Kwan Was The First And Best Yellow Ranger

Trini Kwan in a fighting position with her fists up in Power Rangers Mighty Morphin.

The first Yellow Ranger ever, Trini was one of the first teens to be chosen to take up the Ranger mantle before eventually leaving to help the world on a larger scale. Notably not turning away from Zordon like other teammates when offered the position, Trini would go on to prove herself as one of the best rangers on the team.

In the comics, Trini lasted years as a Ranger, eventually becoming the Yellow Omega Ranger and taking on threats that most Rangers couldn’t dream of. She has led teams, saved countless lives, and shown herself to be compassionate and caring to everyone around her. Even her alternate universe selves, in the World of the Coinless and 2017 Power Rangers, prove that Trini is an amazing character.
