WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Power Rangers #3 by Ryan Parrott, Francesco Mortarino, Raul Angulo, and Ed Dukeshire, on sale now.

It's hard to find a shoulder to lean on in the world of the Power Rangers. Both the Mighty Morphin and Omega Rangers have had more than their fair share of tragedy lately, from bearing witness to global genocide to being the victim of one heartbreaking betrayal after another. As bad as things are, there isn't even any time to stop and appreciate the few good things left in the Rangers' lives. Luckily, the Omega Rangers have someone by their side who is always taking in the big picture and looking after each and every one of them, even if they don't realize it.

After kidnapping Drakkon from Zordon's custody, the Omega's headed back out into space, hoping that the former tyrant would be able to help them in their quest to stave off the Empyreal invasion of Earth. Of course, before they could get where they were going, new problems arose in the form of the Horrid, a race of interstellar vampires capable of draining the power from their ship and the souls from their bodies. Each of the Rangers had their own run-in with the Horrid, Trini even taking hers outside in a last-ditch effort to get the upper hand on them. Trini's plan didn't go as well as she had hoped, and the world's most intimidating team mom is more than happy to let her know how terrible her idea was.

Xi has been with the Omega Rangers as long as they've been around, his origin being that of the Blue Emissary's robotic assistant, and as such has seen the team grow from its less than humble beginnings into something truly incredible on their own. Even though the Blue Emissary was killed and Xi himself destroyed in the assault, he was able to be rebuilt into his new body, taking up the role of confidant and compatriot that the Omegas can always count on.

Right now, Xi is needed more than ever, as the Rangers are no sooner regrouped than they are at each other's throats over what to do next. Xi isn't just there to keep them calm and collected in the face of danger, though, he's also got the inside scoop on just how to handle the Horrid.

Xi has been picking up the clandestine broadcast that Drakkon has been sending through his collar. The Horrid King, believing that the Rangers were trying to escape when Xi directed them back out into space, sent his entire force their way. This gave Xi the opening he needed to distract the Horrid King just long enough for Drakkon to deliver the killing blow.

Even without letting the Omegas in on the plan, not to mention the off chance that Drakkon was truly betraying them, Xi was able to navigate his team to the best possible outcome. With any luck, he'll be able to keep doing so as the Rangers head into yet another terrifying landscape.
