Hasbro's upcoming Power Rangers series on Netflix will be overseen by Jenny Klein.

Per ComicBook.com, Klein has been brought on to collaborate with The End of the F***ing World creator Jonathan Entwistle, who will act as executive producer for Netflix's Power Rangers universe reboot. Gabe Marano, eOne's Executive Vice President of Scripted Television in the U.S., said, "Building this partnership with Jenny, whose talent and passion transcends genres, is an exciting moment for us. We believe that her distinctive vision makes her the perfect fit to help us develop Hasbro's deep library of IP, as well as original projects, and we're thrilled to have her on board."

Klein, who co-created and acted as showrunner for The Thing About Pam, already has a host of genre properties on her resume, including Supernatural, Jessica Jones, The Witcher, Daisy Jones and The Six, and Marvel's Cloak and Dagger. She commented on signing the two-year deal with Hasbro and Entertainment One, saying, "eOne is an impressively versatile home to develop original content, and with its incredible toy box to dig into, it's such an exciting place to be. I couldn't feel prouder to bring its beloved IP to viewers."

Since their small screen debut in 1993, the Power Rangers have become a global sensation unto themselves. Created by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy and produced by combining original and preexisting footage from various Japanese tokusatsu shows from the already popular Super Sentai franchise, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers gave birth to a worldwide phenomenon. Since then, the Power Rangers franchise has spawned 21 individual series spanning 28 seasons, a dozen comic book adaptations, and three live-action feature films, not to mention countless toys and games.

Leading up to Netflix's own iteration of the franchise, the main Power Rangers series will hit its 30-year anniversary. The milestone occasion is slated to be celebrated with a 30th-anniversary special, which many fans anticipate will be the ultimate finale of the original sprawling story. Hasbro has reportedly reached out to the remaining members of the original cast in the hopes they will return for the special. If so, it would be the first time the classic lineup has reunited on-set since 1994, which saw the original Red, Black, and Yellow Rangers depart from the series.

The Power Rangers comic book universe crafted by BOOM! Studios is also approaching its own milestone in the form of its 100th issue. The series, which began in 2016 with Kyle Higgins and Hendry Prasetya's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1, has itself spun off into two currently ongoing titles, with multiple miniseries along the way. Though the BOOM! Studios universe has largely stayed true to its source material, it has also made great strides in separating its version of the Power Rangers from those of the small screen.
