Legendary and Saban have unveiled a brand-new promotional photo from the upcoming "Power Rangers" movie reboot, sporting the principal cast members fully-clad in armor, striking a rather battle-ready (and equally stylish) pose. Take a look at the photo below.
Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
“Power Rangers” is a reboot of the '90s television series “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” which followed with a cinematic outing, “The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie,” in 1996. The original show followed a group of teenagers gifted with superhuman abilities and mechanical robots called Zords in a quest to defend the Earth from alien threats.
Directed by Dean Israelite and starring Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger, Becky Gomez as the Yellow Ranger, Bryan Cranston as Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, “Power Rangers” hits theaters on March 24, 2017.
