'Power Rangers' Movie Finds Its Black Ranger

Wasting little time, Lionsgate has added the Black Ranger to the ranks of its "Power Rangers" movie. The announcement was made this morning on Instagram.

Ludi Lin, who plays a magician in the blockbuster Chinese fantasy-adventure "Monster Hunt," will join the recently cast Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger and Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger.

Directed by Dean Israelite, the film reimagines the franchise-launching "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," which followed a group of high school students chosen by the ancient being Zordon to defend Earth.

"Power Rangers" is set to arrive Jan. 13, 2017.
