The Sixth Ranger in any Power Rangers team often exemplifies the best of the best when it comes to rangers. They are most often the strongest members in any given Power Rangers team, and they generally have unique Ranger suits that make them visually stand out from the rest of the group. They also have their own special gimmicks, powers, and Battlizer armor.

It's important to note that even the relatively weaker Sixth Rangers are stronger than most other Rangers. So being a "weak" Sixth Ranger doesn't mean a character is weak in general. Rather, they are just weak compared to other Sixth and Extra Rangers. For argument sakes, weak "Extra Rangers," those who joined sometime after the Sixth member, are also counted.

10 Zhane Is The Ace Of The Space Rangers

Power Rangers In Space Silver Ranger

Zhane, the Silver Ranger from Power Rangers In Space, is considered to be a top 10 weak Sixth Ranger only by default. Zhane is actually a really powerful Ranger as is, serving as the ace for the Space Rangers.

A human from another planet - don't question it - Zhane was best friends with the Red In Space Ranger, Andross. He was put into hibernation at some point before being revived by Andross and his fellow Space Rangers. As the Silver Space Ranger, Zhane was a highly skilled warrior, blessed with great strength and agility. He qualifies as a weak Sixth Ranger only because every other Sixth Ranger is that much stronger.

9 Spirit Rangers Are Separate Entities Controlled By The Pai Zhuq Masters

Jungle Fury Spirit Rangers

Spirit Rangers from Power Rangers Jungle Fury are also considered to be weak only because every other Sixth Ranger is that much stronger. The Power Ranger shows are a re-edit of the Japanese program, Super Sentai. Almost all the costumes and most of the footage are directly taken from the Sentai.

The Spirit Rangers are one of the few Rangers created specifically for Power Rangers--they did not appear in the Sentai at all. The Spirit Rangers are equivalent to Stands from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. They are separate entities controlled by the three Pai Zhuq Masters, acting almost like their puppets.

8 Phantom Ranger Never Fully Revealed His True Strength

Phantom Ranger Power Rangers Turbo

The Super Sentai equivalent to the Phantom Ranger, the VRV Master, wasn't even considered a Ranger at that point. However, the popularity of the Sixth Ranger was too strong in the United States, so VRV Master became the enigmatic Phantom Ranger in Power Rangers Turbo.

The Phantom Ranger's identity remains one of Power Rangers' biggest unsolved mysteries. He makes sporadic appearances in Turbo and In Space, showing he has great abilities. But viewers could never fully gauge his true strength, especially compared to other Sixth Rangers.

7 Tyzonn Was Surrounded By Weaker Rangers Overall

Power Rangers Operation Overdrive Mercury Ranger

The Mercury Ranger from Power Rangers Operation Overdrive isn't a bad Ranger per se--he's just an odd one in the grand scheme of things. While he's easily the best Ranger in Operation Overdrive, that season is notorious for being bad. That season has some of the worst Rangers of all time, so him being the best of that team doesn't really mean much.

The Mercury Ranger is actually a human-looking alien name Tyzonn, who actually has the ability to control mercury. It's a really strange power and doesn't really add much in terms of strength. He is definitely not a weak Ranger in general--he's just a weak Sixth Ranger comparatively.

6 Nate Started Out As A Beginner Ranger

Power Rangers Beast Morpher Gold

Oftentimes, Sixth Rangers are introduced as the more skilled Rangers in a team. They usually are the ones that have been Rangers even before the main squad is formed and showcase expertise that most other Rangers don't have.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers changed that formula a little bit by having the Sixth Ranger be a total beginner. Nate Silva is a young, talented scientist who helps create the Rangers gadgets. As the Gold Ranger, Nate does display the right kind of skill set to keep up with the many different monsters the team faces. Outside his suit though, his physical capabilities are a little lacking.

5 Gemma Is Stronger As A Duo With Gem

Power Rangers RPM Silver Ranger

The Sixth Ranger in Power Rangers RPM is actually a pair of twins - Gemma and Gem form the dynamic duo of the Silver and Gold RPM Rangers respectively. Together, the two are some of the strongest Sixth Rangers in the entire series. Separately though, they aren't anything special.

Neither one has a unique power that makes them different from the rest of the RPM team. Their main gimmick is the fact that they are a pair; they fight together as one, and rarely, if ever, separate from one and another. Gemma gets more credit over her brother as she teams up with other Rangers from different teams to save their dimension.

4 Gem Is Stronger As A Duo With Gemma

Power Rangers RPM Gold Ranger

Gem and Gemma are known for their immature personalities and their habit to finish each others' sentences. At times it seems like they can't function unless they are together. They are a source of levity in a season of Power Rangers that is known to be extremely dark compared to other seasons.

Whereas Gem went on to team up with Wes from Time Force and Koda from Dino Charge to save the different Power Ranger's dimensions, Gem stayed behind and didn't do anything since the end of RPM.

3 Sam Is Just A Ball Of Light

The Omega SPD Ranger using his quick fist in battle

Sam first appeared in Power Rangers SPD as a little kid with special powers. He was saved by the B-Team and was sent away. Later a mysterious Omega Ranger showed up, revealing himself to be Sam from the future.

As the Omega Ranger, Sam displays great feats of strength, agility, and even has cool superpowers. However, the elephant in the room is the fact that, due to some time travel mishaps, Sam ends up as a ball of light. He can only be in a physical form in his Ranger Suit. So he may appear powerful in his suit, he is ultimately just a ball of light.

2 Nova Didn't Have Time To Show Off The Full Extent Of Her Power

Power Rangers Nova Ranger

Everything that relates to the Omega Ranger from Power Rangers SPD can be applied to the Nova Ranger from the same season. One exception is that the Omega Ranger appeared in several episodes to show-off his powers, while the Nova Ranger only appeared in one, which was the final episode of SPD.

She literally shows up out of nowhere to help the Omega Ranger, and by the end of the episode, she goes back to the future. She could be extremely powerful, yet audiences never get to see it. In general, she was a really strange last-minute inclusion to the season.

1 Albert Has A Fear Of Monsters & Lacks Experience

Dino Charge Purple Power Ranger

Albert from Power Rangers Dino Charge is a friendly, older gentleman. He is a New Zealand native who ran a tour guide to find Bigfoot. He unintendedly bonded with the Purple Emergem to become the Purple Ranger.

Before he called it quits, he briefly helped the other Dino Charge Rangers in a fight against some monsters. He has the right heart to be a Power Ranger, but his lack of experience and fear of monsters forced him to call it quits after one episode. Of all the Sixth and Extra Rangers in the series, Albert is easily the weakest.
