Jason, Billy, Kimberly, Trini and Zack are on their way to becoming "Power Rangers." In the first clip from Lionsgate's upcoming film, the quintet discover an alien ship buried deep underground -- so, naturally, they take a peek inside.

The clip opens with our main characters exploring what looks to be a cave. Upon discovering the ship, Billy points out that it must have been there for millions of years, considering how it was embedded in the rocks. Even as Trini expresses her hesitation about it, Jason leads the group inside, mesmerized by the way his stone glows red in its presence.

As the team ascends, the ship opens to welcome them. Zack is thrilled with what they find and excitedly shouts about getting famous off finding proof of alien life. "Jason, is this real?" Billy asks, echoing the clip's title. "Like, are we really in a spaceship right now?"

They quickly find out, as Jason realizes there's something moving within the belly of the ship. The walls then begin to move and the entrance seals shut, trapping them inside. The group makes a run for it and looks for some place to hide, picking a random hallway and squirreling themselves away inside.

In the end, that doesn't matter, because a mechanical tentacle grabs Trini by the leg and pulls her into the open. There, she encounters a robot with giant glowing eyes, which fans will recognize as Zordon's sidekick Alpha 5. "You're real!" Alpha 5 exclaims with an audible blink, and the clip comes to an end.

Seeing as the group hasn't become Power Rangers yet, it seems that this clips comes from the beginning of the film. Since it also introduces Alpha 5, that means Bryan Cranston's Zordon can't be too far behind. However, we'll just have to wait and see how the kids discover Zordon when the movie hits theaters later this month.

Directed by Dean Israelite and starring Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger, Becky Gomez as the Yellow Ranger, Bryan Cranston as Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa. “Power Rangers” hits theaters on March 24.
