WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Mighty Morphin #1 by Ryan Parrott, Marco Renna, Walter Baiamonte, Katia Ranalli, and Ed Dukeshire, on sale now.

Zordon and Alpha 5 are in a full-on panic since an unknown Green Ranger showed up out of nowhere to save the Power Rangers in the final issue of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers by Ryan Parrott, Moises Hidalgo, Igor Monti, Sabrina del Grosso, and Ed Dukeshire.

After, Lord Zedd unleashed his Dark Rangers and their respective TerrorZords on Angel Grove, the Dark Rangers were on the verge of defeating the Power Rangers until Drakkon showed up in his brand spanking new Green Ranger outfit. He easily renders Zedd unconscious by destroying the Green Chaos Crystal with this Dragon Dagger. Drakkon shows up again as the Green Ranger in Mighty Morphin #1 to dispatch a Panda monster named Pandamonium before vanishing without breaking a sweat.

Fresh off the battle, the Power Rangers' heads are swimming with ideas about who this Green Ranger is and what their motives are. They've been scanning energy frequencies for two weeks and haven't had a single trace of the Green Ranger. Meanwhile, Billy is working overtime trying to find this new Ranger. But readers know that Billy already knows the identity of the Green Ranger because he helped restore the Green Power Coin's connection with the Morphin Grid with Grace Sterling's help in Promethea.

Grace Sterling was one of the original Red Rangers back on the 1969 team. After a short and disastrous run that left multiple Rangers dead, she founded Promethea -- one of the most highly advanced technology companies in the world. Grace helped the Power Rangers on numerous occasions and became a major player during the Shattered Grid era in which Drakkon declared war on the multiverse. Now, she has Drakkon imprisoned in Promethea and she has big plans for him.

Grace tells Billy that she wants to select the new Green Ranger personally once the Green Power Coin has been restored. After going through a list of lackluster candidates, she offers up Drakkon as a candidate. Billy obviously freaks out at this prospect. While he's one of the most skilled fighters in any universe, he's still showed himself as a psychotic megalomaniac, and Billy doesn't see how giving him the Green Power Coin is a good idea. Grace even admits she'd only do it under the direst of circumstances, but she had no idea Zedd was in possession of a Green Chaos Crystal and a team of deadly new Dark Rangers.

While the Power Rangers are discussing the Green Ranger incidents, everyone has their theories. Zack even thinks it could be Drakkon because of how skilled the warrior appeared to be. However, that theory is temporarily shelved when Alpha confirms that Drakkon was imprisoned while the Green Ranger showed up. After the group splits off, Aisah confides in Kim and suggests Billy may be hiding something. She thinks he's been acting weird ever since the Green Ranger showed up, but Kim reassures her that she knows Billy and there's no way he'd keep anything from Zordon, Alpha, or his fellow Rangers.

However, Aisha is spot on with her assessment. Billy is hiding the fact that he knows the Green Ranger's identity. Now only time will tell if he lets his teammates in on the secret or if he waits until it blows up in his face. This secret could change his relationship with the Power Rangers and potentially change Billy's legacy as one of the most reputable and noble Blue Rangers in the history of the Morphin Grid.
