Those who loved watching the Power Rangers while growing up will know that most fans refrain from declaring their favourite Ranger until at least ten episodes in as the complete line up is often not revealed until partway through the show. And we all know that the sixth Ranger is always the best.

The real question is, out of all of the sixth rangers present in the series, who were the coolest sixth Rangers? There are so many factors that go into deciding what makes a Ranger deserving of such a title. Today, we will explore our personal favourites.

10 TOMMY OLIVER (GREEN AND WHITE MMPR)

Fans of the series all know that Tommy is considered to be the most iconic Ranger of all time, there's no denying it. He's been in more series than any Ranger and has always been given the most love out of all of them as well. Ever since his introduction in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers he's stolen the hearts of fans everywhere.

Why is Tommy so cool? Honestly, we can't explain it. Maybe it's because he was the first sixth Ranger? And that originality stuck with us. Or maybe it's because he had the most development out of the original Rangers, which makes him stand out in our collective memories.

9 DAGGERON (SOLARIS KNIGHT)

There's just something so cool about having the sixth Ranger be the new guy on the block that totally outshines all members of the original team. There's something even cooler when that new guy was there all along; as the mentor of the team. That's the exact reason that Daggeron is one of our favourites. However, that's not the only reason we had to give him a spot on this list.

Not only does the mentor status give him a fair justification for being the strongest, but it also gives him access to one of the coolest sixth Ranger designs there are. This no-nonsense mentor outshines his students and has a special place in our hearts.

8 ROBERT JAMES (WOLF RANGER)

Once again, this ranger proves that there is something so cool about a ranger being both a powerful sixth ranger and the teams' mentor. Robert James, AKA: RJ, has been there for the team since the beginning of the series, even without morphing. He also has an amazing arc that can be compared to even the main Rangers of Jungle Fury.

We definitely have to give a shout out to his unique fighting style as well. Watching the Wolf Ranger put in work using Muay Thai and a variety of other real world martial arts techniques is truly a sight to behold. We should also mention that he has been a werewolf.

7 TRENT MERCER (WHITE DINO RANGER)

Though this Power Ranger is often considered to be a tad overrated by the fandom due to his flat performance, there are still several reasons why he deserves a spot on this list. First of all, his story is a great callback to the sixth Ranger before him, Tommy Oliver. This revitalization of Tommy's arc as an evil Ranger was a great throwback and gave fans a touch of nostalgia while also bringing something new to the show.

Second, we do have to acknowledge how truly awesome his suit is. The Dino White Ranger has an irresistible suit, a truly cool motorcycle, and is everything that a sixth ranger should be.

6 RYAN MITCHELL (TITANIUM RANGER)

titanium ranger

The Titanium Ranger of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue not only survived being raised by a demon but also provided viewers with consistently stellar action scenes when on screen. Sadly, he didn't receive as much screentime as other sixth Rangers. Which is truly a tragedy. However, if you didn't know the behind the scenes story of this Ranger there's a good reason for that.

You see, the Titanium Ranger is the first Ranger exclusive to the Power Rangers series. This is due to him coming from a spare beta Ranger outfit. Thus resulting in not having as much footage of Titanium as the other Rangers.

5 CAM WATANABE (GREEN SAMURAI RANGER)

No, this isn't one of the Rangers from Power Rangers Samurai. This is a samurai Ranger from the Power Rangers Ninja Storm series. Kind of confusing right? Anyways, if you haven't been acquainted with this Ranger he's the son of the mentor of the Rangers of this series. This Ranger started off as the intel of the Ranger group but soon be became a ranger himself, the coolest of the group in fact.

This Green Ranger has one of the coolest sixth Ranger outfits out there complete with weighted gear and a flipping helmet that changes when he switches forms.

4 ANUBIS CRUGER (SHADOW RANGER)

If you thought only humans could be Power Rangers one look at Anubis Cruger will prove you dead wrong. It'll also show you that a humanoid dog is one of the best Power Rangers in history. Being yet another mentor character, Anubis "Doggie" Cruger makes his debut as the Shadow Ranger and has some amazing feats under his belt.

Not only does this old dog have one of the coolest swords in Power Rangers, but he also took out the big boss of the series without even morphing into his Ranger form.

3 JASON SCOTT (GOLD ZEO RANGER)

If it's not Tommy Oliver it's definitely Jason Lee Scott. Jason's return after his run as the Red Ranger was one of the greatest returns in Ranger history. Yes, even better than any of Tommy's returns in other installments of the series. This is because his appearance as the Gold Zero Ranger was hinted at and built up in a way that makes the reveal worth it.

Not only that but Jason doesn't overstay his welcome. He knows he isn't there to overshadow the new cast of Rangers and does so without being jealous of the new blood. It's great seeing him matured and grown from his first appearance.

2 MAGNA DEFENDER

Magna Defender is one of the coolest sixth "Rangers" out there just because of the lore that he was given in Lost Galaxy. We first are given a Magna Defender seeking vengeance for the death of his son and the destruction of his home world. However he sacrifices his life to save space station, Terra Venture, and his powers are passed on to revive the recently deceased Mike Corbett, bringing him back to life as the second Magna Defender.

If that backstory alone doesn't make him one of the best sixth Rangers then we're not sure what does.

1 ERIC MYERS (QUANTUM RANGER)

You literally can't have a best sixth Ranger list without the Quantum Ranger. This character is literally an anime rival character that came from nothing brought to the real world. He begins as an enemy, becomes an anti-hero, and soon becomes a complete partner to the main cast of Power Rangers. We use "partner" lightly.

The coolest thing about Eric is that he never truly becomes a friend of the Rangers. He's still rude guy towards the team through and through, only helping them when their interests intersect and working against them whenever the opportunity presents itself.
