Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has announced a new fighting game to be released this year with a teaser trailer including a very familiar cameo appearance.
Titled Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, the gameplay trailer shows a Red Ranger battling a V2 Green Ranger with assistance from a Yellow Ranger. Despite outnumbering the emerald warrior, the Green Ranger is able to dispatch his opponents with original Green Power Ranger actor Jason David Frank revealed as the player controlling the fighter.
The upcoming fighting game will feature playable heroes and villains from the entire history of the popular Sentai franchise and allow cross-play team battles across all available platforms.
Players that preorder the game online or through select retailers will be able to download an exclusive Green Ranger V2 character and receive a digital art book for the game. Additionally, the Season One DLC pass for the game comes with the exclusive Lord Drakkon Evo II and a Pink Ranger character skin from the original series.
Developed by nWay, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in April.
