Image Comics Will Publish Lost The Legendary Lynx Comic Series

  • Image Comics' Syzygy imprint will release a newly remastered and expanded edition of The Legendary Lynx, a comic series from the 1970s originally published by Triumph Comics that has long since been out-of-print.
  • The publisher teased, "The Lynx, a street-level vigilante and precursor to gritty, noir runs on titles like Marvel’s Daredevil, Moon Knight, and a contemporary to heroes like The Cat and Spider-Woman, was the flagship comic book of Triumph Comics, far surpassing its other, less popular titles. Best-known for its initial, critically-acclaimed run by writer Harvey Stern and artist Doug Detmer, along with guest writer Carmen Valdez, many comic insiders point to the Lynx as an essential, lost part of comic history. When Triumph entered into bankruptcy in the early 90s, the rights surrounding the Lynx became muddled."
  • "The Lynx is one of those mythic lost comic series I’d heard whispered about over the years but had pretty much given of hope of ever actually seeing," said Syzygy's Chris Ryall. “Just knowing that such a compelling and influential series is going to finally get remastered and released is a huge thrill for me, and even more so knowing I get to help make that happen."

Titan Comics Celebrates Pulp Fiction's Quentin Tarantino With New Graphic Novel

  • Titan Comics will publish Quentin by Tarantino, an original graphic novel from Améziane Amazing, that documents the true story of the Reservoir Dogs and The Hateful Eight filmmaker's rise to fame.
  • "Quentin Tarantino is arguably the last great celebrity director, a creator who's almost as recognizable as the hugely influential and iconic pop-culture moments that he's brought to movie screens over the past four decades," said Duncan Baizley, the head of creative and business development for Titan Comics. "His movies are love letters to the genres, directors and stars, as well as the books and comics he grew up with. So, it seemed perfect that writer, artist and Tarantino aficionado, Amazing Améziane, should be the one to capture this singular career's stylistic shifts and evolution almost as QT himself would probably shoot it – with flair, wit and some damn unforgettable dialogue. I think Quentin would approve."
  • Quentin by Tarantino releases on Oct. 17, 2023, from Titan Comics.
