It's pretty fitting that since the Forgers are a rather unconventional family, nobody would expect the Spy x Family cosplayers to be politicians.
Three Spy x Family cosplayers who have been making rounds on TikTok and Facebook for their portrayal of Loid, Yor and Anya are revealed to be Taiwanese politicians on Reddit. According to the post, cosplaying Loid is Tseng Wen-hseuh. The cosplayer for Yor is Lai Pin-yu and Huang Jie portrays Anya. In the image, each character has their respective 'weapon' of choice: the Loid cosplayer is holding a newspaper since he's a spy who gathers information, the Yor cosplayer is holding her gold needles and Anya's cosplayer is posing with a magnifying glass. Interestingly, although Loid and Yor are posing as a fake married couple in the anime, Tseng and Lai are real-life partners.
Tseng serves as the Miaoli County Councilor and has helped expose many corruptions. In 2020, he turned independent, leaving the New Power Party, after leaked audio revealed that the former chairman Huang Guo-chang criticized Tseng's abilities and believed that he would not be able to win the party by himself. Tseng stated that he could not stay in the NPP as the ideals of the party had shifted dramatically.
Lai is part of the Democratic Progressive Party and is known for supporting the anime and cosplay industry. In 2014, the police arrested Lai when she protested in the Sunflower Student Movement, which opposed the trade pact between the People's Republic of China and Taiwan, as many believed it would make Taiwan more vulnerable to China's political influence. Aside from Yor, Lai has cosplayed Neon Genesis Evangelion's Asuka Langley Soryu and Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon.
Like Tseng, Huang was a former member of the NPP. She now serves as the Kaohsiung City Councillor. She went viral for rolling her eyes in a video when Han Kuo-yu, the mayor of Kaohsiung, could not give much detail about his plan to establish a free economic zone in Kaohsiung. During Hong Kong's Umbrella Movement in 2014, she supplied resources such as safety equipment to the protestors.

Produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, Spy x Family takes place in the backdrop of the contentious peace between Westalis and Ostania. As part of Operation Strix, a mission aimed to prevent a war from breaking out, super spy Twilight goes undercover as Loid Forger and marries Yor and adopts four-year-old Anya. Both Loid and Yor have ulterior motives for agreeing to participate in the lie but have found themselves growing immeasurably fond of their "fake" family.
