'Poltergeist' Remake Goes Retro With New Poster

Fox's "Poltergeist" remake embraces a decidedly retro vibe with the debut of a new poster, which looks as if it could've been released for Tobe Hooper's 1982 horror classic. The girl could easily be mistaken for Heather O'Rourke, the late star of the original trilogy.

Produced by Sam Raimi and directed by Gil Kenan (“Monster House,” “City of Ember”), "Poltergeist" stars stars Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino, Jane Adams, Kyle Catlett and Kennedi Clements. It opens May 22.

Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi (“Spider-Man,” “Evil Dead”, “The Grudge”) and director Gil Kenan (“Monster House”) contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.
