Ash's continuing adventures will now be released under the title Pokémon UItimate Journeys.

The Pokémon Company released a new trailer for the series to go alongside its new title. While further episodes in the series are being rebranded for its international release, the anime series is still being released in Japan under the title Pokémon Journeys: The Series, which has been airing continuously since 2019. The series will still continue Master Journey's latest story arc, which sees Ash competing with the best trainers from the series' eight main regions in order to become the Pokémon World Champion. The trailer also teases new challenges for Goh and Chloe, Ash's current traveling companions. The trailer's description on YouTube states that Part 1 of the newly renamed series will be released exclusively to Netflix sometime within the year.

A new image from the upcoming World Championships arc was also recently released, which featured Ash and the other seven trainers who he will be competing against. The group includes the Galar regional champion Leon, Elite Four member Lance, and Diamond and Pearl fan-favorite Pokémon Master Cynthia. Japanese promo materials for the show state the the championship tournament will serve as the "climax" for the Journeys series.

The Pokémon anime is likely wrapping up its Journeys season to prepare for the upcoming release of the next mainline games in the series, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The new games will utilize the semi-open world structure that made Pokémon Legends: Arceus a hit when it was released earlier this year, and will feature an all-new region to explore and new Pokémon to collect. The games are scheduled to be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch sometime later this year, and will likely receive their own dedicated tie-in season of the anime, just as every new generation in the video game series has previously.

Fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see if Ash can take home another championship, but in the meantime they can look forward to the upcoming release of a new Pokémon anime series, entitled Hisuian Snow. The miniseries will premiere on May 18 and is set in the same region and time period as Legends: Arceus. The three-episode anime will be released for free through the official Pokémon YouTube channel or the Pokémon TV app, which is available on iOS and Android devices, as well as the Nintendo Switch.
