With the conclusion of Pokemon: Sun and Moon -- Ultra Legends just around the corner, an exciting new teaser trailer for the Pokemon franchise's next anime -- Pokemon: The Series -- has arrived.

The trailer teases some of the new locations and characters that will play a role in Satoshi/Ash's continuing quest to become a Pokemon Master. The long-running protagonist will be joined by a new trainer named Gou, who is partnered up with a Scorbunny. Little is known about the character at this time, but the two will work together to achieve their goals of becoming Pokemon Masters.

The new series comes in the wake of Ash finally becoming a Pokemon League Champion after failing to succeed for 22 years.

Created by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori, Pokemon is one of the most popular franchises in the world since the original games released in 1996. There have been a variety of different movies, television series and other spin-offs based on the universe. The franchise's first live-action film, Detective Pikachu, released earlier this year.
