In Generation VI, Pokémon fans saw a new kind of evolution wherein certain Pokémon changed appearance, Mega Evolution. Although not technically a full-fledged evolution, it at least gave fans the chance to see some new and embellished designs for their favorite Pokémon.

Some Pokémon, however, either have a single evolution or don't have one at all, not even a Mega Evolution. With a little bit of love and attention, these Pokémon lines could become much more exciting. Of course, not every Pokémon should evolve, that would make filling the Pokédex a lot more time-consuming. But it still seems like some creatures have been shortchanged by not getting an evolution.

10 Parasect Could Do With An Exciting Revamp

Pokemon Parasect

Parasect has been around since Gen I. Since then, it's been stuck without a following evolution. Parasect evolves from Paras, but it looks like there's unfinished business there. Even though it's the final stage of a Pokémon, Parasect looks like a mid-stage form. If it were to gain another evolution, it could transform into a fully fleshed-out version of the Bug/Grass Pokémon. It could become an embellished form of what it is now, or change color and become something completely different.

9 Shuckle Has So Much Room For Growth

Shuckle from Pokemon flying forwards in the Pokemon anime

Shuckle is infamous for having the least balanced stats, which it can flip around to make its attack extremely powerful with Power Trick. A new evolution for Shuckle would give the designers a chance to address this stat imbalance, as well as give Shuckle a much-needed new form. It's just begging for an evolution; make the shell bigger, give it more legs, and maybe an extra head or two could pop out of one of the holes in its shell.

8 Emolga's Rare Typing Should See It Evolve

Pokemon emolga using attract

Emolga, the first Electric/Flying-Type introduced since Zapdos in Gen I, and the first of the dual-types to not be Legendary, just looks like it should have an evolution. The Electric/Flying-Type combination is too rare and interesting for it to be confined to the diminutive Sky Squirrel Pokémon and a few others. Fans are so keen on seeing an evolved form of Emolga that there are a number of fan mockups to be found on the internet.

7 Spinda's Evolution Could Hold A Spinning Object

Anime Pokemon Spinda Pack Dizzy

Spinda is one of many cute-looking Pokémon that are seen more as pets than competitors, and it's a shame that a lot of these kinds of Pokémon don't receive evolutions. For its evolution, Spinda could just become a larger version of itself and be given an item like a yoyo, a spinning top, or ribbons used in gymnastics. Or it could be given a dramatic twist or edge that contrasts its cute initial form.

6 Pachirisu Could Gain A New Type If It Evolved

Pokemon Dawn's Pachirisu

Looking at Pachirisu, one would assume that the Electric Squirrel Pokémon would evolve, but it does not. There's plenty to work with in terms of an evolution of Pachirisu, which fans would love to see.

Its tail could grow to a massive size that could hold some kind of object, for example. Or it could even be given wings under its arms to become a flying squirrel and a dual-type Electric/Flying Pokémon like Emolga.

5 Breloom Needs A New Form That Suits Its Raw Power

An enraged Breloom in the Pokemon anime.

Breloom is a deceptively strong Pokémon. It just looks so under-utilized for a final form. There's so much more that could be done with the Mushroom Pokémon. It deserves a form that does justice to its power. As it looks now, Breloom doesn't look strong enough to have 130 for base Attack. Breloom was introduced in Gen III, and it's about time it received a form that's much bigger and more imposing to match up with its combat capabilities.

4 Carbink Is Cute But Has So Much Potential

Carbink group in Pokémon.

Carbink is pretty adorable, but it could be so much more. The mythical Pokémon Diancie shares similarities to Carbink, but Carbink's evolution could get a drastic new look. It could become a large rock studded with numerous multi-colored jewels, its face could be fully revealed, it could sprout arms and legs, it could get a big, bushy beard... pretty much Team Rocket's Carbink Robo Drillalyzer in "A Diamond in the Rough"the 123rd episode of the XY series. And that could just be its mid-stage form. It could evolve further to become even bigger, beardier, and more jewel-encrusted.

3 Klefki Has The Keys To Unlock A New Evolution

klefki pokemon anime

We often see Pokémon evolve into something related to what they were in their first form. Klefki, being comprised primarily of keys, could then become some kind of derivation of the word "lock" or "bolt" while retaining the alliteration. Something like "Burbolt" or "Liflatch". Aside from the name, Klefki is so small and wiry that it delegitimizes its ability in battle. It looks like a Pokémon could just nonchalantly toss it aside. A new, bigger evolution with added chains and bolts would fix that.

2 The Name For Luvdisc's Evolved Form Writes Itself

Luvdisc from Pokemon Cropped

The name Luvdisc's evolution should get is pretty obvious, and it alone is justification for giving the Water Pokémon an evolution. The names of evolved forms of Pokémon often change to reflect the increase in size, while keeping the theme of the original name.

For example, Mankey becomes Primape, and Koffing becomes Weezing. For Luvdisc, find something that's bigger than a disc, take out the disc and insert that bigger thing, and Luvdisc becomes Luvinyl.

1 Dunsparce Is Crying Out For A Dramatic Evolution

Dunsparce in nature

Dunsparce looks like one of those weak Pokémon whose form changes drastically when they evolve and they become incredibly strong, like Magikarp turning into Gyarados. Also, the color combination of turquoise and cream would make for a unique-looking creature. Dunsparce with its eyes closed looks lazy and weak, but this would only give more impact to its evolved form, whose eyes could be open, revealing a fierceness that's been lying dormant within the unassuming Pokémon all this time.
