Oreo's limited-edition Pokémon cookies, particularly the variant brandishing Mew's portrait, are fetching unbelievable prices online.

According to several eBay listings, the Mew Oreo, confirmed to be the rarest in the set, is selling for hundreds of dollars to collectors. Sorting by "recently sold" reveals Mew Oreos being purchased for upwards of $400 USD; one user lists a sale price of $1,200 USD. A particularly optimistic seller is looking for $5,000 for their "Mint... PSA 10" Mew Oreo.

The cookie, which is just a normal chocolate Oreo with Mew's face emblazoned on the top, is part of a limited-edition collection that sees various Gen 1 Pokémon imprinted onto the delicious treat. While other Pokémon are available to collect, Mew is reportedly the rarest in the set, mirroring its scarcity in the Pokémon video games.

Other Pokémon available as Oreos include Pikachu, Cyndaquil, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Dratini, Jigglypuff, Lapras, Grookey, Piplup, Pancham, Sabeleye, Squirtle, Sandshrew and Snivy. None of the other Pokémon are quite as sought after as the Mythic Legendary pocket monster.

Pokémon Oreos aren't the only treat to feature Nintendo's battling creatures. Krispy Kreme Australia recently announced a range of Pokémon-themed donuts inspired by the original game's starters. Customers can choose from frosted pastries that feature Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pikachu and a generic Pokéball.

While these Pokémon Oreos may (seemingly) be worth a healthy chunk of change, it might be worth saving up for two incoming video games. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, remakes of the game's fourth generation, are launching on Nov. 19. If you're looking for something a little less traditional, then Pokémon Legends: Arceusan expansive open-world action-adventure game set in the sprawling Sinnoh region, launches on Jan. 28.
