Every Pokémon fan may not love the constant push The Pokémon Company loves to do with the game's first generation but if not for Pokémon's Kanto region there'd arguably be no Pokémon fandom at all. On the other hand, Pokémon fans still discuss their fond memories exploring the game's first generation today.

Whether it be chatting about Kanto's strongest gym leaders or the best Pokémon Ash caught in that region, many will bring the first-generation into new discussions about the franchise. One of these discussions being, which Pokémon from Kanto should exist in real life.

10 SHOULD EXIST: Machop

Although the Machop species are known for their physical strength and labor, Machop would make a great companion in the real world. Machop are known for wanting to become stronger and spend their time lifting heavy objects to build muscle, similar to most bodybuilders. Not only can Machop become excellent weight-lifting partners, but they can also make for great combat training comrades.

For example, one of Pokémon Twilight Wing's best episodes features Galar fighting-type gym leader Bea going toe-to-toe with her Machamp. Although it's Machop's final evolution, it goes to show that humans are capable of standing in the ring with these Pokémon.

9 SHOULD NOT EXIST: Hypno

Probably one of the scariest psychic-type Pokémon alongside its pre-evolution Drowzee, Hypno is nothing to laugh at, especially for children. Although Hypno's design doesn't make it look intimidating, the abilities it has alongside what it does to capture its prey could easily place it among the scariest monsters in anime history.

Furthermore, if a Hypno can stand in front of their prey and swing their pendulum device in front of their victim they can hypnotize them. Once hypnotized, Hypno devours their victim's dreams without showing any sign of remorse. This fact alone will make any person feel glad it doesn't exist.

8 SHOULD EXIST: Eevee

Eevee from Pokemon

The Pokémon that shared the spotlight with Pikachu for a short time, Eevee is an adorable Pokémon that everyone on the planet has grown to respect in the entire franchise. It's also a Pokémon many argue is a must-catch whenever you encounter one in the games.

Who can deny not wanting a Pokémon that can evolve into some of nature's natural elements? Not only would these Pokémon be a popular creature to have in homes, but they would make for excellent traveling companions too.

7 SHOULD NOT EXIST: Gengar

Gengar grinning menacingly in the Pokemon anime

One of the most iconic among the first generation's ghost-type Pokémon is Gengar with its purple sharpened fur, large teeth, and red eyes with a personality that leans more toward trickery, chaos, and spookiness. Not only did Gengar help to solidify proof that Pokémon's first season was the darkest, but it also had many convinced that it's a truly horrifying creature.

This Pokémon loves to play pranks and scare people for its amusement and sometimes feels no remorse in doing so. Unless a person is in-to the kind of mischief, tomfoolery, and wonder Gengar likes to get himself in, then there should be no reason for it to live in the real world.

6 SHOULD EXIST: Meowth

The pokemon meowth readying an attack

Probably the most well-known Pokémon alongside Pikachu in the original anime, Meowth would bring an intriguing dynamic to the current felines that rest in peoples' homes today. Although he may look like the average house cat, Meowth can be vital to its owners during strolls around the city, park, or whichever place they like to spend their time.

Their vitality stems from Meowths' instinct to find shiny objects often worth a lot of money. It can even produce gold coins thanks to one of its moves called Pay Day. With this information in mind, there's no telling how wealthy a person can be with a Meowth at their side.

5 SHOULD NOT EXIST: Mewtwo

The legendary Pokémon with one of the best films in the series' history, Mewtwo is a creature that can bring a lot of doom and gloom to the real-world. With its human experimentation background, there's no telling how many dark and twisted emotions this Pokémon carries within itself.

Nonetheless, though it might be possible to reason with the creature as shown in the first Pokémon movie and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu it's still too risky to let this Pokémon run loose in the real world. Therefore, despite the good personality Mewtwo carries, it should not exist.

4 SHOULD EXIST: Jigglypuff

Jigglypuff ready to sing in the Pokemon anime

The most unknowingly comical yet pop-star-like Pokémon in the Kanto Region is Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff isn't too dangerous around human beings and if the anime is anything to go by, make sure to carry a wash-cloth at the ready. Also, for those who are always annoyed when animals crowd around them at the dinner table, Jigglypuff's ability to flatten itself will make it convenient for having more room around the house.

Although Jigglypuff may try to harm itself if its victim doesn't sleep, playing along with the creature shouldn't leave anyone feeling endangered.

3 SHOULD NOT EXIST: Arbok

Unless you're a fan of snakes, large ones at that, then Arbok is a Pokémon many people will happily agree shouldn't be slithering around in the real-world. With large sharp fangs, Poison-type attacks, and the ability to squeeze most large pokemon to death there's no telling what its victim will look like after they encounter this ferocious creature.

Not only that, but the patterns on Arbok's body are used to paralyze its opponents, and it has the power to restore its body parts, besides its head, in only a couple-weeks-time.

2 SHOULD EXIST: Chansey

Chansey, Pokemon From The Kanto Region

During this saddened time, it'd be great to have a Pokemon that's known for helping the sick recover from anything that's bothering them, be it a mental or physical issue. Therefore, it would be great if Chansey existed to help out the many doctors and physicians with patients who might be going through a tough time in the medical room.

Chanseys are known to be Nurse Joy's helpers, and it makes sense considering the restoration moves it carries—such as Heal Pulse, Healing Wish, and many others. Therefore, it's a no-brainer to want Chanseys to be a real species in our world.

1 SHOULD NOT EXIST: Moltres

Moltres mid-flight in the Pokemon anime

Known for being one of Kanto's legendary elemental birds, Moltres's fire capabilities may be used for good purposes in the Pokemon world but it can prove catastrophic if the Pokémon was to be controlled by an evil person. Moltres typically finds restoration when volcanos are most active and is known for bringing spring-like heat to winter-climates.

Although it would be kind-hearted on Moltres's account to bring some heat to colder regions, tampering with mother nature doesn't roll well in our world. Thus to keep the world from enduring any possible chaos due to natural causes, it's best if Moltres remains in the Pokémon world.
