Pokémon Journeys: The Series, the manga by Machito Gomi, is coming to an end.

According to the Anime News Network, the chapter was published in the November issue of Shogakukan's Coro Coro Comics, and the manga's fourth and final volume is scheduled to ship on Nov. 26.

The manga adapts the anime series of the same name, which originally aired from Nov. 17, 2019, to Dec. 4, 2020, in Japan on TV Tokyo. The story follows Ash and Pikachu as they hitch a ride on the Legendary Pokémon Lugia in order to travel the world. However, they discover another kid has climbed aboard -- Goh, a trainer with the dream of catching every Pokémon, including Mew. Together, Ash, Pikachu and Goh strive to make their dreams come true.

While there will be no new issues of the Pokémon Journeys: The Series manga and no new episodes of the anime series, there have been recent developments in the franchise to the delight of Pokémon fans. For example, a special 25th-anniversary expansion set for the trading card game is now available and a new mobile game is in the works.

The Pokémon Journeys: The Series anime is available to stream on Netflix alongside other franchise entries like Pokémon: Indigo League, Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! and Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle.
